Shield is our buttery smooth sun protection for the whole family! It provides sun protection while also nourishing your body with all kinds of amazing fat-soluble vitamins such as A, D, E, and K. It also contains CLA and Palmitoleic acid, essential fatty acids with anti-inflammatory properties and antimicrobial properties.

It also contains 21.25% non-nano zinc oxide which is a mineral that provides a physical layer (a shield, if you will) on your skin and reflects the sun’s rays. Unlike chemical sunscreens, our Sun Butter is gentle, protective, and nourishing.

Apply before extended sun exposure time and reapply after 30-60 minutes or as needed. A little goes a long way!

Please note that there could be a faint white appearance after application due to the non nano zinc oxide. It is usually temporary if you don’t use too much and rub it in thoroughly.

While this product is technically unscented, it has a beautifully sweet, earthy smell with the mix of the oils and tallow. We love it!

Ingredients: grass-fed and finished beef tallow, non nano zinc oxide, organic carrot seed oil, organic coconut oil, and local-to-me beeswax

Nourished does not contain preservatives or stabilizers. If it is in a warm environment for too long, it could melt—but will not harm the product. Tallow has a very low melting point with a very high smoke point. Likewise, if it is in a cooler environment it may be more firm. If it melts, simply mix together and put in the fridge to cool. After it is cooled but not yet fully firmed up, mix it with spoon—and, voila!
